I recently stayed at a fantastic lodge in Colchester while visiting Addo. The location was perfect for exploring the Addo Elephant Park, and the views of the Sundays River and dunes were beautiful. The host, Byron, was incredible and went above and beyond to make our stay special. He gave great advice on safaris and dinner options and even organized a bottle of champagne and romantic decorations for our honeymoon. The lodge had a great pool, a spacious backyard for cooking or braaiing, and it felt safe at all times. I would highly recommend this lodge for a memorable and comfortable stay in Addo.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough!

We absolutely loved our stay at the property. the location was perfect for our visit to the Addo Elephant Reserve, just a 5-minute drive from the south gate. the host, Leanne, was incredibly friendly and informative about the park and the local area. She even recommended a fantastic local restaurant and provided us with information about nearby facilities. the property itself was clean, well-presented, and had ample natural light. Our favorite spot was the veranda overlooking the river, where we enjoyed breathtaking views of the sunrise and sunset. the comfortable beds, immaculate bedding, and top-notch bathroom facilities made our stay even more enjoyable.
Felt like VIPs, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort.

The location of the lodge is great for visiting Addo Elephant Park, with a short walk to the Matholweni Gate. the view of the river from the lodge is pleasant, and there is a nice jetty for fishing. the host went above and beyond, even organizing a champagne surprise for honeymooners and arranging a delightful river cruise.
The lodge does not have WiFi, which may be inconvenient for some guests.

The location was perfect for exploring the nearby attractions. We were just a short drive away from the famous wildlife reserve and there were restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. It was convenient to have everything we needed close by. Plus, the view of the river was absolutely stunning. We loved sitting on the veranda and taking in the beautiful scenery.
There were a couple of drawbacks during our stay. The couch in our room was incredibly uncomfortable.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, just a 5-minute drive from the Addo Elephant Reserve. The hotel facilities were great, with a beautiful pool and a large backyard. The staff was fantastic, providing us with helpful advice on safaris and dinner options. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The hotel also had undercover parking, which was a blessing in the South African heat. Can't fault the property in any way. Highly recommended!
